I was raised in a nuclear family of four. Myself, my parents and my sister who is 5 years older to me. I have been in USA for 6 years and still respect and follow the Indian culture and traditions. Being away from home, I learned to be independent, responsible, open to new cultures and helpful to people in need. After I moved to USA, I took time to learn cooking and I try to make food at home as much as possible. However, I go out for dining occasionally either with friends or office colleagues. Other than cooking, I like reading books and work on my blog. I try to write as much as possible - It's a great way to distribute my knowledge to other people. I mostly write about technical things, cooking, traveling and random thoughts.
I am looking for a partner who is well-educated, honest, has sense of humor and understanding. It's also amazing for her to be liberal and open to new ideas. In my opinion maturity is not exactly related an age, but it is brought upon by combination of upbringing, life experiences and challenges on faces.
I respect and support to idea of horoscope and kundali matching before initiating marriage talks, However matching each others' minds is also an important part of bonding and should be given an equal importance. I don't expect my partner to have exact preferences as mine and it is mutually beneficial to have certain complimentary traits. That way we can learn new things from each other, try to adjust (Which I think is a big thing in marriage) and improve our own behavior. It may sound like a cliche, but I believe and strongly support that in marriage people should be more like friends rather than traditional husband and wife. This brings me to the second point where all the responsibilities should be shared based on the circumstances. There is no work that is below someone's rank and depending on how you adopt yourself to this new situation defines your commitment and respect towards the new relationship.
Little more about my family. We are a close knit family of 4 living in Mumbai. Our native place is Virar where I completed my schooling and 12th. She is happily married and currently working as a professor in college.
